研究内容(目的・方法)
三陸沿岸から沖合にかけての海域に生息するオオミズナギドリ・ウミガメ類・マンボウといった高次捕食動物の行動生態を、バイオロギング手法を用いて震災前から継続してモニタリングしてきました。今後も研究を継続し、津波に因る擾乱に対する高次捕食動物の応答メカニズムや、現場環境にいかに適応しているのか、それぞれの生態を解明します。
