研究内容(目的・方法)
2009年以降継続している魚類群集調査により,東北太平洋沿岸域のアマモ場における単位面積あたりの魚類の種多様性と現存量は,全国26ヶ所のアマモ場のなかでトップレベルであることが明らかとなりました.2011年3月に発生した津波により,浅海域に形成されるアマモ場やそこに生息する魚類群集は強い撹乱を受けました.本研究では,東北太平洋沿岸の複数のサイトにおいて,津波による撹乱の程度の違いがアマモ場の植生,魚類群集,食物網に及ぼした影響と,津波以後の遷移過程の空間比較を実施します.
